About Us

Podcast Mission Statement

Armchair Philosophy is a podcast about philosophical conversations. We try to make ordinary things sound more philosophical, all the while making philosophical things sound interesting to everyone. We explore the limits of the human mind all from the comfort of what can only be described as very nice armchairs. The Armchair Philosophy Podcast is a project in conversation broadcasting. If you're wondering what that means, I will elaborate.

We here at the podcast believe that one of the best things in life is a great conversation about great topics. That is what we try to bring you here for every episode of the podcast. An upbeat, thoughtful, reflective and interactive experience based around employing philosophical ideas and themes to better explore a topic. Each episode will go over a single main theme with no real aim. The only thing important to us is that we use it to go somewhere.

You can expect the topics to be basic in nature; we are not Phd's by any stretch of the imagination, and so our material will be matched accordingly. Let's be honest, why would anyone want to sit at their computer for an hour and a half listening to just some other lecture about some obscure philosopher nobody's ever heard of? The Armchair Philosophy Podcast isn't a serious endeavour, but it will provide serious entertainment to the person who enjoys "big sky" thinking.
