Armchair Philosophy Podcast Episode What!?

Hey there internet,

So it seems there's no episode of the Armchair Philosophy Podcast out today, even though it was promised as such on our last podcast.

Fact of the matter is, we love our moms here at the Armchair Philosophy Podcast, and since it was Mother's Day Weekend in the states, we decided to forego recording this weekend and will instead bring you a brand-spanking new podcast this next Monday, May 20th at 5pm PST.

For those of you who came here today expecting philosophy and are therefore disappointed do not fret! Although this isn't in audio form, this is an actual article about actual philosophy by one of the people who actually do the podcast!

For those of you who are instead here for the ambiance, let me take you on a behind the scenes look at the Armchair Philosophy Podcast.

This is our technical setup for the podcast. We use a Blue YETI Microphone for all our recordings. It's name is Clarence. We found that for the price and for its amazing quality, this is the best microphone on the market for the money. It does literally everything you need it to do for a podcast. Not only that, but any other microphone would have simply quit the show given the amount of bad philosophy this guy listens to, yet he hasn't.
A Blue YETI microphone just like this one is used
to record our podcasts...and that computer too...
WHO TOOK THIS PHOTO?!

If you ever wondered whether or not we actually sit in armchairs while recording the show, here is your answer. The answer is in fact yes, we do sit in red armchairs while we record. This chair doesn't have a name yet, but if you come up with a good one let us know in the comments and maybe, just maybe, we will christen the chair with the name you come up with.

Name this chair! Suggest a name in the comments!

Lastly, this is where the magic happens. No, this isn't an episode of MTV Cribs where any bedroom in the house is apparently where said magic may or may not happen. This is Audacity, a free-ware program that you yourself can download to edit all sorts of audio tracks you wish to ... well ... edit. This piece of software is easily your new best friend. Without it, you'd be hearing an extra 2 hours worth now of "ums" "uhs" "errs" and "ahs", as well as the stupidest bits of philosophy we're too embarrassed to claim as our own works.

Blue lines indicate genius, white spaces indicate soundlessness.

So that was our foray into the heart of the Armchair Philosophy Podcast! At least for what it is now. As mentioned before, the next podcast will be out on Monday, May 20th, at 5pm PST. We hope to see you here then.
